This is Patrick Hoyt's home page. The only common thread here is that this is simply stuff that interests me. For starters, it interested me to build a site that was one huge webpage. You access the site by scrolling in any direction.. some content is obvious, other less so.
I also maintain another personal website at www.patrickhoyt.com and a professional portfolio site at www.digitalsoy.com. And, I'm proud of the site we've built at my full-time job at a public radio station: www.kuhf.org.

Godaddy file repository policy
Godaddy has an unreasonable policy about so called 'file repository' that they used to DELETE about 40 gigabytes of irreplaceable local public radio, a bunch of personal photos, and whole websites of mine. Supposedly the idea is that everything on your web hosting account must be part of a website. That's totally unreasonable and unexpected from a webhost- I've been webhosting for 15 years, and I've never heard of this idea at all. I certainly didn't hear about it when I signed up with Godaddy! Besides, alot of what they deleted was indexed, by an index.php file, linked to from the home page. They even deleted most of the photos on my home page. But since Godaddy's intention is to get rid of people like me who actually use the space they promise, and don't fall for their sleazy upsells, guess what?- I'm staying. And here's the section where I make sure everything is fully indexed as I add it!
